Dr. Michael G. Marshall has been involved in pastoral work for over 23 years and military work for over 17 years. He is the International representative for Armed Forces Baptist Missions, a missions agency dedicated to ministering to the military. He has pastored the Maranatha Baptist Church in Lyons, New York where he ministered for over eight years and founded the Tri-County Baptist Church of Franklin, Wisconsin where he pastored for twelve years. He earlier served as an associate pastor in the Virginia Beach area of Virginia.

During the Vietnam War he enlisted in the United States Navy. In 1972 he took his basic training at Great Lakes Naval Base. He then attended and graduated from the U.S. Naval Hospital Corps School. He also trained there as an intensive care corpsman and anesthesia technician. He then worked with the war wounded in the intensive care unit and in the operating room anesthesia department. He later served as a medical petty officer aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, USS Marathon, and dispensary at Little Creek Amphibious Base, Norfolk, VA. His service time also included serving as the medical petty officer to a gunboat and PT boat SEAL team unit accompanying his gunboat group (Coastal River Division 21, Squadron 2). There he also trained in nautical navigation and landing craft operation. He later became a respiratory therapist and Emergency Medical Technician.

Dr. Marshall is presently serving as a chaplain with United States Operational Support Command. He is also the senior volunteer chaplain at the Milwaukee MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) and a chaplain with the Air Force Auxiliary (Civil Air Patrol). He also serves as a chaplain for the 347th Air Force Recruiting Squadron as a CAP Chaplain on MSA orders from Scott Air Force Base, IL. Among his ministry duties, he also finds time to work as a part-time industrial chaplain for Tyson Foods Corporation in Jefferson, Wisconsin.

Dr. Marshall has worked with missionaries abroad in a number of countries including Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Austria, Romania, Korea, Russia and the Philippines. He has held meetings and seminars in churches in over 23 states. Dr. Marshall is presently authoring a Russian book commissioned by the University of Ecology & Politology in Moscow on the impact of religion on military performance. He further works with the freedom of religion movement in that country. He recently has worked with Korean and American military forces stationed in Korea. He presently is an advisor to the Moral Recovery Program in the country of the Philippines under Philippine President Arroyo.
